Build 1735 introduces a two new colourised render modes that show the height using colour: RGB colours use Red to show the highest points and Blue to show the lowest, while “natural” colours look like Swiss Alps, with white at the highest points and dark green at the lowest.

The former is activated by clicking on the “Colour Code Heights (RGB)” button in the 3D View toolbar () while the latter is activated by “Colour Code Heights (Natural)” button next to it ().

It is possible to combine the height colourisation with texture by activating the “Toggle Texture” button () but this will tend to reduce the visual impact of the colourisation.
